MARV: Fall 2019 - Spring 2020

MARV, our maritime autonomous rescue vehicle, was the capstone senior design project at Penn MEAM.

MARV was developed for NASA Search & Rescue and is capable of being deployed from a helicopter, taking a 15 ft drop into water, operating in both orientations and autonomously navigating towards a fallen astronaut.

Subsystem assembly and design was complete, but final systems integration never happened due to COVID-19. One day I hope to revisit and finish it, if only to do justice to all of our design work over a full year.
